In pursuing digital transformation at DBS, we have been committed to the idea that investment in our people is imperative and re-training is key. But in keeping with our belief that work should be fun, we have been trying to see how we can gamify training. Learning from one of the best in tech, we partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring the AWS DeepRacer League to DBS. The aim is to build a critical mass of both tech and non-tech employees who are familiar with the basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, me included. The virtual training focused on how to use reinforcement learning to improve AI models, in a simulated F1 environment. I had to experiment, train, evaluate and tune my personalised, fully autonomous driving car model in the online simulator and compete with other racers. I am delighted DBS employees have done well, with one emerging as champion at the recent F1 DeepRacer ProAm Race, beating Renault F1 driver, Daniel Ricciardo! I’m also elated that as of now, three DBS staff are in the global Top 20, and two have qualified to compete for the AWS DeepRacer Championship Cup, to be held in Las Vegas at year-end. A fantastic validation of the technology talent within the company, and a good opportunity to make Singapore proud!
Amazing Congrats , How well you real know your clients ?
👏👏👏
Congratulations to you and your team 👏
Thank you Piyush and DBS Team for the opportunity to partner on this transformative initiative. I look forward to a successful outcome later this year at the AWS DeepRacer Championship Cup!
Learning AI with AWS DeepRacer has been an amazing experience - starting with the 4 hour immersion to building our own models for the race car .. just so much fun !!
Great strategy... but deep racer league.... these results are something else!really something else!
I dont think so sir, their is difference between reality and marketing.. U dint listen to your customer... So I dont think I personally endorse DBS bank.. Customer knows you but you dont know your customers... Any way, JAI HIND
Indeed an Excellent Initiative... Congrats ...
Surely sounds like fun. Experiential learning trumps the typical class room.
